A really easy finger food and what’s more, they’re hearty, delicious and kid’s will simply love them. Meatballs can be cooked one day ahead and reheated.
1kg beef mince
1 cup (70g) stale breadcrumbs
1/2 cup (40g) coarsely grated parmesan
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 spring onions, sliced thinly
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp barbecue sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
1. Combine beef, breadcrumbs, cheese, garlic, onion and sauces in large bowl; shape level tablespoons of mixture into balls.
2. Heat oil in large frying pan; cook meatballs, in batches, until cooked through. Drain on absorbent paper.
3. Serve meatballs with tomato sauce or sweet chilli sauce, if you like.

Notes: Meatballs can be cooked one day ahead; keep, covered, in the refrigerator. Reheat meatballs, in a single layer, on oven trays, covered loosely with foil, in oven (180C / 160C fan) for about 10 minutes. Uncooked meatballs can be frozen between layers of freezer wrap for up to 3 months; thaw in refrigerator for 12 hours or overnight before cooking as per recipe.
