We love a family get together and what a better reason to celebrate than a party for the head of the family.. my Granny!
A summer party with summer weather cannot be indoors, so we were delighted the Northern Irish rain stayed away and allowed us to have our party outside.
Tea Party Decorations
We decided on an afternoon tea theme to keep with the occasion and I was in charge of the decorations and the cake. I went no further than party pieces of course and thought their ‘Truly Scrumptious’ range was the perfect accompaniment for our theme and style. I decided to decorate the garden in a range of Party Pieces lanterns hanging from various branches on different trees (yes I needed a ladder).. but don’t they look great?
Tea Party Tableware
For the table, I went for some of the truly scrumptious doilies alongside a vintage table runner I picked up from a local charity shop. No table setting is complete without a vase of flowers so we had the truly scrumptious party teapot vase filled with wild roses.. my Granny’s favourite.
To serve, we had the utterly scrumptious cup and saucer set (which was just perfect for the occasion and the setting) the vintage paper plates and these beautifully scalloped truly scrumptious paper napkins.
We had a wonderful afternoon getting the family together and I hope you like our photos of the day and the decorations of course!
