Aloha! Addalee is such a charming little girl and I was so honoured to give her a birthday party she would remember. Moana was our theme: such an inspiring movie with a really great message for children and adults alike. It teaches about empowerment and cultural exchange by embracing strength in diversity.
I kept the decor simple as I was limited to how much I could decorate because of the venue we used. I chose the greens, reds, pinks, blues, oranges in-keeping with the theme. We used some mini tiki torches along with some other luau items, too. It’s amazing what you can find around your home that fits right in with your vision. Each child was given a grass skirt along with a Hawaiian Lei and Addalee got to wear a gorgeous Moana birthday crown. How special!
The children enjoyed a delicious lunch after swimming. We had some fabulous desserts that consisted of cupcakes, cake pops, sugar cookies, and red velvet birthday cake, a favourite of our birthday girl.
After lunch, they were treated to some super cute face painting. It was priceless to see the excitement on their faces when they saw themselves in the mirror and when they discovered the photo props. The innocence of children is just so sweet.
All her friends received a favour bag including of Moana stickers, bubbles, a box of crayons, a Moana cup and a box of goldfish crackers. Everyone had a great time especially our Birthday Girl. Surrounded by family and friends, it was a perfect day for a Luau!
