Real Party: Halloween Party

Real Party: Halloween Party

Did you know that the Americans spend over $2 billion on Halloween decorations every year? That may be a little crazy, but doesn’t it look like so much fun over there?

I went no further than Party Pieces to get the perfect spooktacular Halloween items so we could truly get into the Halloween spirit. They have such a wide choice, you can add bone-chilling flair to home with a range of Pumpkins, ghouls, ghosts, crafts and banners! After much deliberation I decided on a spooky Halloween garland. I love all the different elements; the spiders webs hanging down and the glittery sheen of the letters.

My dining room sideboard is pine .. not very spooky is it? I decided to continue with the theme and covered it in a black cheesecloth tablecloth with trick or treat table confetti sprinkled over the top. On top I displayed these small glitter pumpkins. They come in orange, black and silver and I just love the sparkle.

Through to the kitchen I continued the fun theme and removed my display china and replaced with this sparkly trick or treat sign, some more glitter pumpkins, Bertie’s soon-to-be trick or treat bucket and these little party picks which we will pop into some cupcakes when the big day comes.

We have a chandelier that hangs over our casual dining area and I decided to hang a few of the extra spiders from the garland from here .. the kids love it.

No Halloween display is complete without the traditional pumpkin. My two are a little young for pumpkin carving and Bertie had much more fun using this pumpkin decorating kit instead. It comes with different eyes, mouths and creepy crawlies. They became quite the focal point of our Halloween decorations and nowhere near as much mess as traditional pumpkin carving.

Happy Halloween and I hope you plan on popping up a few decorations this year!
