Real Party – Justice League Superheroes

Real Party – Justice League Superheroes

We’re very excited to share this amazing superhero party with you all! Bethany threw this modern Justice League party for her son in their home in Atlanta, Georgia! Here’s what she had to say about the celebration…

Superhero Party

Our family recently had the joy of celebrating another birthday. My oldest son turned 9 years old! The years have gone by so quickly, so we like to celebrate each birthday with a bang! My son is very interested in superheroes, and he wanted to have a superhero party. We focused on the Justice League superheroes and had such a great time planning together.

Party Gift Boxes

We started planning about 1 month before the party. I always include my son in the party planning, and it is such a wonderful bonding activity for us. He has such great ideas, and I like to incorporate his ideas into the party. I like for him to feel like he has planned his party.

When planning the dessert table, we wanted to have a modern feel to it, so we used white as the backdrop for all of those wonderful bright & bold superhero colours. I splurged on a few custom desserts, like the cake, cake pops, and cookies. I love the way those turned out! They really were fabulous and the birthday boy loved them! I also used coloured candies as a less expensive way to bring colour and fun into the dessert table; the party guests went crazy for the swirly lollipops and gumballs. The doughnuts, I picked up inexpensively from a local doughnut shop, and added detail to them with little coloured garlands. I served layered Jello cups which were both budget friendly & super easy to create myself. This DIY dessert took a little bit of time, but they looked great and the children like the Jello almost more than the cake! I did lots of DIY for this party and am so pleased with how those added details turned out.

The best thing about this party was how happy it made my son! I think his favourite dessert was that amazing cake, and I love the cake pops! On the day of the party, we had so many kids come that I realized that we didn’t have enough party favours. I had to think fast & creatively to make every child feel special and included. We decided, at the last moment, to find every bit of candy we could and stuff the piñata totally full of candy (we were going to save the piñata as a party memento.) Every child was able to hit the piñata and when it finally burst open every child ran and filled their goodie bags full of candy. Everyone left happy & with plenty of party favours!
