First birthdays are always such a fun and a lovely special occasion to style. This one was no exception, with pretty Liberty florals and pink and gold decor. The birthday girl wore a gorgeous Liberty outfit and I made her a little golden crown with a Liberty number one on it. This gold glitter fabric is my current crafting obsession and I’ve been incorporating it into lots of different items. I also used it here for letters on little wooden name blocks which I had painted pink as a feature on the cake table.
Gold star garlands and little pink star tealight holders matched beautifully to the pastel perfection happy birthday bunting which provided the perfect backdrop behind the gorgeous cake by Judith’s Cakes & Bakes. Little pink and gold macarons and cute heart shortbread were served after the sandwiches and party food and we used an upcycled vintage tea trolley decorated with bunting for the vintage cups and saucers.
Pink lemonade was served from a drinks dispenser into little glass bottles with Liberty straws and a light up number one sat on a stand on the cake table. Fresh pink roses in little light bulb vases were dotted around to finish off the look and I used stick on gold letters on a blackboard as a’ welcome to Lydias’s party’ message.
The little birthday princess had a great time and loved blowing out her candle on her cake before enjoying a slice of it!
