Real Party: Spirit of Christmas

Real Party: Spirit of Christmas

The Christmas season is my favourite time of year. It’s time for the spirit of giving so full of wonderful amazement it’s almost as if seen through the eyes of children. I just love entertaining, and so when I was asked to help celebrate the holidays with the Kelly-Brown family I couldn’t resist! The first thing you notice when entering their home is the warm fireplace, you really can feel the spirit of Christmas! Candace and Richard were such amazing hosts!

A holiday party does not have to be stressful! Incorporate the decor around the features of your home as it saves time and money. With this holiday party, I created the vision that Candace and Richard expected. It’s all about the ambience, after all, it is the season of good tidings, comfort and joy.

Serve foods that compliment the theme of the evening. Keeping it simple and ready-to-serve allows you to spend more time with guests. It’s your night and you want to be able to enjoy the evening!

Finally, set the dessert or sweet table in a space guests will see when they walk in. Not only will guests get a peek at what’s coming over the course of the evening, it will get them talking about your exquisite decorations!

Make sure to have a table set up near your front entryway so that your guests can pick up one of your cute party favours on the way out. Favours are a nice way to thank them for coming especially during the busy holiday season where it can be so hard to make time!

May your Christmas be Merry and Bright!
