Calling all superheroes – it’s time to party! Inspired by last year’s hit movie, Wonder Woman, it’s time to get your gang together for a day filled with action.
IN A FLASH INVITATION
Print and fill in your party details on these free bright and bold invitations. Place inside red envelopes and even though you will need to hand deliver them, the free printable coordinating stamps complete the look.
Set the scene in with Superhero Pop Art Party bunting, balloons, pinwheels and gold star garlands add just the right amount of glamour. Our party signs also make for great signage, guiding your guests to the party area.
CITY SKYSCRAPER CENTRES
For a cute table centrepiece, make little city towers from boxes and place bold Gerbera flowers inside. Pop in some of the Party Pieces photo booth props, cake toppers or cut out gold glitter stars for an overall co-ordinated look.
POW PARTY SUPPLIES
The Superhero Pop Art Party range makes for the coolest comic look; place paper cups, plates, napkins and confetti at each place setting, together with our printable place cards.
PACK A PUNCH
Saving the day is thirsty work, serve guests kid-friendly energy drinks and custom water bottles with our free Wonder Woman printable water bottle labels – you have the check out the clever Nutritional facts on these. And if you are feeling extra crafty, cut out gold glitter stars for coasters.
If you are planning a movie night, serving hot popcorn is a must. Fill up some popcorn holders. For DIY holders, shape our printable black and white comic posters into cones. Place popcorn inside and you may want to add primary coloured M&Ms for a sweet touch.
For a healthy snack, make fruit kebabs by inserting brightly coloured fruit onto wooden skewers. We made ours co-ordinate with Wonder Woman’s signature colours: red strawberries, yellow pineapple pieces and blue berries.
Build-a-burger or make hero sandwiches and offer a host of different topping and sauces. To hold the food towers together, insert wooden skewers topped with our printable party circles.
A WARRIORS WARDROBE
For an easy DIY to dress up the guest of honour, or to kit out all the kids, make these printable crowns and cuffs and use the masks from Party Pieces’s photo booth kit. One could also let the children craft them as part of an activity or hand them out at the awards ceremony. Another fun idea is to set up a temporary tattoo parlour!
SPIN THE NAIL POLISH GAME
Here’s how to play:
- Have everyone sit in a circle around a tray where a nail polish sits.
- The first player spins the nail polish.
- The person the top of the nail polish is pointing at then paints one nail with that colour.
- The bottle is then swapped for another colour.
- Play continues as each player spins and paints one nail at a time.
- The first person to paint all ten, can select a nail polish bottle as a gift.
- The game is over when all players have painted all ten fingers (and toes if you like) and each has a nail polish as a party favour.
- If you have a large group of kids, consider dividing the group in half. Any more than six kids at once, and the kids might get bored waiting for their turn.
Entertainment is easily done when you have guests take part in a Superhero training camp. Start off with some basic warming up exercises, then relay races (think running, carrying water) and finish off with an obstacle course. Our favourite is creating a “room full of lasers” using string and tape!
… for ice-cream! Set up a serving station for everyone: you’ll need different flavours of ice cream, wafer straws, sprinkles, sauces, sweets and ice-cream tubs. Guests can then craft their own sundae and get stuck in. But watch out for brain freeze!
Make your own classic candy party favours by individually packaging brightly primary coloured sweets. A clever idea is to place red liquorice strips into cellophane bags to look like Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth. Add one or two goodies like stationery, gliders or stickers and finish off the treat bags with ribbon and our printable thank you tags.
Make your superhero party a movie night where you can all watch your favourite superheroes on the big screen. Weather permitting, consider having the party outside by setting up an outdoor projector. Encourage kids to dress up in their favourite hero’s outfit and hand out paper boxes or party bags filled with food, drinks, sweets and treats.
THANKS A MILLION
And for the final touch, send handwritten thank you cards to your guests thanking them for coming to the party.
