21st Birthday Celebrations

21st Birthday Celebrations

The 21st birthday is the celebration of a person moving into ‘full’ adulthood. At 21, a person may have more of an idea the direction their life may take than when they were 18. They may be completing the final year of a university degree, be well into a career already, or be married with children. They may be none of those, but what is important about 21st birthday celebrations is that any party reflects the importance of this birthday.

Pick a venue

For a 21st birthday party, you really have your pick of venues. Your choice will really come down to suitability and to location. Any venue you choose has to be one that is suitable for such a party, and in terms of location, this may come down to the profile of the guests expected. If it’s more of a family party, then a venue out of the town centre is advised, whereas if most of the guests are in their late teens and twenties, they may be carrying on after the party, so a town centre location may be a good idea.

21st Birthday Party Invitations

For a 21st birthday party, it’s tempting just to set up a Facebook event and invite people through that. Although that’s a great way of inviting people, not everyone is on Facebook, so you should combine it with the more traditional postal invite. With a wide variety of styles and designs available, you will be able to make sure your invites get to everyone you need to in style.

Devise your menu

Chances are there is going to be a lot of drinking going on at a 21st birthday party, so remember to serve lots of carb heavy dishes to soak up all that alcohol, so pizzas, pasta, sandwiches and chips are all good options. And don’t forget the desserts. Presentation is everything for cakes, so take a good look around at some of the options that are available.

21st Birthday Party Decorations

Why not consider a special 21st birthday theme for the party. Amongst the wide variety of options available in shops and online, you’re bound to find the perfect theme for your party. A 21st birthday party should be a fabulous event, and with one of these specialist themes you’ll be giving your guests the very best in party decorations.

Have fun

The most important thing is that everyone should have fun. With music ranging from party classics to the latest chart hits, eat drink and be merry!

After the party

Why not send everyone who attended the party thank you cards? It’s a really nice way of showing your appreciation to all those that came, and they’ll be touched by the kind gesture.

I started using Party Pieces in the late 1990’s for my first son’s birthday parties as choosing items from your brochure was such fun with so much choice that just couldn’t be found elsewhere – I loved getting the brochure through the post each year and recognise the covers on your “about us” page! I still remember receiving my first delivery, how excited we both were and how caringly it had all been packaged. Here I am now in 2018, on-line, looking for decorations again for his 21st birthday next month – it’s quite a nostalgic & emotional experience ! I wish you all continued success for many more years to come 🙂
