We’ve been ready for Spring for a long time now; eager for pretty flowering bulbs, morning sunshine, singing birds and of course Easter! This year we’ve got lots of egg-citing (ha) collections for family get togethers, Spring soirees and tea parties. One of our favourites has to be this lovely ‘Bouncing Bunnies’ range from Meri Meri; it’s filled with adorable Easter motifs, pastel shades and lovely little accessories for the home. Below we’ve shared how to throw a Bouncing Bunnies Easter party for the whole family.
1. Set the Spring-time Scene
Bring the beauty of spring into your home with a collection of themed decorations. Our Happy Easter garland is perfect for giving your home a party feel, adding a touch of Easter pastels and foil lettering. It features a collection of paper flowers as well as some adorable orange honeycomb carrots. Accessorise with big colourful pinwheels and cute white bunny balloons to finish the look, the balloons come in a kit so make a great Easter craft too!
2. Setting your Easter Party Table
Creating an attractive Easter party table is really easy with such a colourful collection of tableware. Start by choosing a subtle colour for your table cloth, crisp white, pale duck egg or any pastel shade will work but go for plain and not patterned. Lay out your paper plates, napkins and cups for each guest so you can see what space you have left to work with. Our bouncing bunny cups feature the sweetest little bunny wraps with 3D ears! Pop a contrasting striped paper straw in each cup, choose colours like mint, yellow and other Spring time shades.
If you’ve got plenty of space left to play with then fill the gaps with themed favours like mini crackers, pastel coloured Easter eggs and novelty bunny ears. Add clusters of small jam jars and milk bottles filled with daffodils and other spring blooms.
3. Easter Party Treats
We all love a treat come Easter time! Whether it be mountains of chocolate, themed cakes or a big roast lunch with all the trimmings. One of our favourite family-friendly treats are sugar cookies; they’re so easy to make and you can ice the most adorable Easter designs onto them. Our Easter cookie cutters feature 5 designs; a bunny, rainbow, tulip, chick and Easter egg. Get the younger guests to help you ice them as a fun Spring-time activity. You can serve them up at your party tea or wrap them in cellophane with pretty ribbon for guests to take home as party favours!
4. Family Fun and Games!
You can’t have a family get together without fun Easter activities for the kids (and big kids too!). There’s the all important egg hunt; make sure you’re stocked up with directional signs or hints, baskets for collected treats and of course plenty of little surprises to hunt down! Themed crafts also make for great Easter activities, our egg decorating kit includes all you need to make 6 super sweet Easter egg bunnies, they even have cute outfits!
