Mother’s day takes place on Sunday 15th March this year, so it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to do to treat mum. We’ve put together our Top 5 Mother’s Day Ideas together to give you some inspiration.
1. Throw a tea party.
Party Pieces Truly Scrumptious range is full of pretty colours and florals that Mum will love. Lay out a delicious spread with sandwiches on Truly Scrumptious plates, her favourite homemade cakes on a gorgeous cake stand and other delicious treats. Make it a family affair and invite your siblings and their children as well as grandparents. Decorate with a Truly Scrumptious Teapot Vase and hanging lanterns.
If you haven’t come across it before, this book is a beautiful gift for your Mum. It contains around 60 wonderful questions carefully designed to inspire every mother to tell her personal story. Spend the day with your Mum and let her tell you all about it.
3. Take a class
If there’s something you know that your lovely Mum has always wanted to do, then why not organise a day out to do it. Whether it’s pottery, jewellery making or even a race day she will love it. You could just tell her that you’re going on a mystery day out, so she won’t know what she’s doing until you get there! Make sure she’s dressed appropriately though!
4. Go somewhere memorable
If you grew up in a different town to the one you live in now, or your Mum grew up elsewhere then take a trip down memory lane and visit where she or you grew up. Visit favourite places, take lots of photos and you will have a fabulous time.
5. Surprise her
This one takes a little organisation but if your Mum isn’t expecting to see you or a sibling on Mother’s Day then why not give her a surprise! Get your hands on a large cardboard box, and wrap the mystery guest up inside it (you won’t be able to move it after, so make sure it’s in the right place!) Make sure you film your Mum opening the present and her surprise.
