We’re often asked to style weddings that capture the essence of the season, whether it’s bright summery tones or warm autumnal candlelight, we’re always up to the challenge. So, when we were asked to create a wedding that captured the frosted magic of a wintery wonderland – we put on our elf hats and got right to it!
Frosted trees and glistening branches set the scene for the wedding ceremony. Accompanied with hurricanes and sparkling snowflakes, these features framed the aisle, creating a magical walkway for our wintery bride.
When we style a wedding, we always ensure that the theme doesn’t become isolated and so we look at each element of the wedding and the venue. This display created a focal point for the drinks reception – the perfect setting for champagne to be served!
We dressed wooden crates with snow white blooms and frosted pine cones. Mercury glass vessels delivered a hint of Christmas sparkle, reflecting flickering candlelight and mirroring the magic of hidden trinkets.
‘Self-serve’ elements are becoming increasing popular at weddings. Whether it’s the classic sweetie cart, or a chocolate fountain, the idea of giving your guests something to interact with is a trend that is fast becoming a favourite.
Our couple wanted a sophisticated twist on this concept with a shorts selection. We dressed our vintage drinks trolley with flowers and glassware, positioned near a cosy seating area so that drinks could be sipped, sampled and enjoyed.
We wanted guests to embrace the wintery theme with an opportunity to wrap up warm before entering the patio area. Our personalised A-frame captured a Christmas classic, with a selection of fluffy throws to keep guests’ feeling toasty until the end of the night!
