How To – Christmas Felt Acorn Ornaments

These felt acorns have to be one of the quickest and easiest Christmas tree ornaments to make. Make a bunch of them and hang them on your Christmas tree, pop them in your bon-bons, or even scatter them on your Christmas lunch table.

You will need:

  • 1.5 cm felt balls
  • acorn caps
  • twine
  • glue gun or craft glue

  1. Acorn caps come in many shapes and sizes, depending on the variety of oak tree. First up, collect your acorn caps and then work out the best size felt ball to fit snug inside. I have found 1.5 cm balls work for most types of acorns.
  2. Simply dab some glue into the lid of the cap and then place the felt ball inside.
  3. Cut a 20 cm length of twine, fold it in half and tie together at the end, creating a loop.
  4. Place glue on the knot and then stick it to the top of the acorn.

To make these cute little snow people, I used a 2 cm felt ball and glued on little googly eyes.
